MYK GÓZON

Myk Gózon is my artist name, as I am known among other creatives and in social spaces. It is also the name I use for features, music production work, and as a pen name.

Musically, Myk Gózon represents work that leans toward the broader world of electronica, drawing from genres such as hip-hop, industrial, and EDM.

Mercy Mijo is an additional creative identity with a different emphasis toward music and artistic creation. One important distinction is that, in its ideal intent, the music is created with the possibility of being played by a band. This stems from the many years Myk has spent as a drummer and band member.

The music does its best to illustrate genres such as rock, R&B, and funk, as well as relatable elements of jazz and blues.

The name Mercy Mijo is derived from Myk’s legal name while also being a play on the Spanish word mijo, meaning “son.”

Gózon Drums is my place for all things drumming. It is a collection of recordings, sounds, and pieces of my musical history—from old and unreleased demos with past bands to other recordings and projects I’ve been part of along the way. Some of it is polished, and some of it has been sitting unheard for years. It all represents different places, people, and moments in my life behind the drums. I’m also available for gigs, collaborations, studio work, and programmed drum parts. Myk goes on drums. Gózon Drums.

Alchemical relates to alchemy and transformation—the process of taking something in one form and transforming it into something new, refined, or more valuable.

Here, it also means taking what has been discarded, unwanted, overlooked, or looked down upon and using it to create something new, unique, and attractively beautiful. Different materials, sounds, experiences, and ideas can be transformed beyond what they were originally considered to be.

Alchemical Frequency is the space for singles, EPs, albums, and other related art created through this approach. It is a home for work shaped by transformation, reinterpretation, and the creative use of what might otherwise be overlooked or left behind.
